What does the test measure and what is the format?

It measures your listening and reading skills. The test is a paper-and-pencil, multiple-choice assessment. There are two separately timed sections of 100 questions each. TOEIC test questions are drawn from a variety of real-world settings and situations.

How long is the test?

The test lasts approximately 2 ½ hours. You'll have 45 minutes for Section I, 75 minutes for Section II, and the remaining time to respond to biographical questions and a brief questionnaire about education and work history.

How is the test scored?

Scores on the TOEIC test are determined by the number of correct answers. The number of correct responses on each section is converted to a scale score. You cannot pass or fail the TOEIC test. It simply enables you to demonstrate your current English language skills.

Why take the TOEIC test?

Many companies, colleges, and universities require non-native English-speaking professionals and students to take the test. It is a way to see if you have the language skills needed to succeed in those environments.

When can I get the TOEIC result?

The TOEIC test in England prides itself on its quick response. You will get your score in 2 days and you will be able to collect your certificate within 5 days.

How often should I take TOEIC?

In general, it is recommended that you take TOEIC after a minimum of 60 hours of classroom teaching. This is the minimum number of study hours for there to be meaningful improvement in your language ability. This recommendation is for UK-based students only. However, you can take it as often as you like.
