LSI Homestays in Vancouver

LSI Vancouver works with homestay hosts that live in the Greater Vancouver region within an hour of downtown by transit. Although many of them have different cultural backgrounds, they provide an English speaking environment and also the Canadian life style. All our hosts treat students as a member of the household, and they help, advise and provide information during the students’ stay so that they feel comfortable in the home.

Additional requirements for Homestay Hosts in Vancouver

• Try to include students in the family activities whenever possible
• Provide well-prepared, home-cooked meals (breakfast can be self-serve, while dinner must be eaten with the family each evening). Where students cannot make it home on time dinner needs to be left in the fridge for reheating
• Hosts can accept no more than 3 students at any one time unless specially requested by the students
• Allow students to do laundry once a week
