As with all CELTA courses, there will be 6 hours of teaching practice with 100% online classes. For these assessed lessons you will develop your plans and materials with the direct help of our trainers both on a one to one basis and in small groups of up to 6 trainees. Tutorials and one to one support are offered throughout the course. The face-to-face elements of the course will be delivered primarily via Zoom and you will also sample a range of other online teaching platforms. The theoretical aspects of the course are delivered via the Cambridge e-learning platform, Google Classroom and a range of other online tools. You will be learning about online English teaching by using the tools that students and teachers use every day.

Online CELTA Part-Time Programme

Study online with us and you’re ready to start teaching - online or “offline”!

The course is designed for both native and non-native speakers of English with little or no teaching experience, and is 100% online and 100% practical introduction to the theory and methodology of teaching the English language. You will gain experience by observing LSI’s online classes around the world, observing other trainees and also, of course, teaching online yourself for the 6 hours of teaching practice included in the course.

Part of the programme is also comprehensive advice on how to find employment as a teacher once you have qualified. We also, naturally have links to and also have links to organisations who recruit teachers straight from CELTA courses, including LSI itself, which has schools around the world from Auckland to Vancouver.
