Build confidence fast as you develop your communication skills in German across real-life situations in Zurich. Each day, two lessons focus on strengthening your grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, while the other two develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing. You’ll learn through a structured coursebook alongside a wide range of engaging materials and activities, including roleplays, authentic content, newspapers and magazines, helping you use the language naturally and effectively in everyday contexts.

Accelerate your progress in German with a more intensive programme designed to deliver faster results. Alongside the core lessons that build a strong foundation in grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, the additional daily electives give you the flexibility to target your individual goals, whether that is improving communication skills or preparing for the Goethe-Zertifikat exam. The course combines structured learning with a variety of interactive materials and practical activities, enabling you to develop greater fluency, accuracy and confidence using German in real-world situations.
Includes additional elective lessons, making this course ideal for students seeking faster results and a more intensive learning experience.

Afternoon 10
10 lessons per week

Course length: 1-11 weeks (Min. 8 weeks for beginner level)
Ages 16+
Ideal for busy schedules or working professionals, Afternoon 10 is a flexible way to sharpen your conversation skills, improve your Business German, or prepare for a range of exams.
This course helps you build fluency, expand your vocabulary, and refine your pronunciation. With a strong focus on real-life communication, lessons explore engaging topics such as film and theatre, current affairs, politics, local culture and the internet.

Plus Courses - One-to-One
The combination of group and One-to-One lessons is perfect if you want extra support with general skills or more specialised areas. Plus Courses include 5 or 10 individual lessons, with teachers working closely with you to create a study plan tailored to your goals. This option can also be taken alongside a General 20 or Intensive course for added focus.
If you want to progress quickly, One-to-One lessons offer the most personalised way to improve. Fully focused on your individual needs and objectives, they’re ideal for targeted, fast-paced learning.

At LSI we welcome young-at-heart mature students on all our courses throughout the year.
In addition, at certain locations we organise social activities which suit the more mature student’s interests. Example activities include: winery visits, rain forest excursions, Maori weaving, boat trips, theatre visits, Kensington Palace.
